PUEBLO, Colo. (October 4, 2017) - Colorado State University-Pueblo's Gillian Maness (So., Kalispell, Mont.) and Tanner Cuda (Jr., Castle Pines, Colo.) have been named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Mobile Record Shredders.
Sophomore Gillian Maness crossed the finish line in 22:18 at the Rocky Mountain Shootout in Boulder, Saturday. She was second in the division and 11th overall in the 5.8K race.
She helped guide the ThunderWolves to first in the non-Division I division, which bested RMAC foes Colorado Mines, Regis and Westminster.
On the men's side, punter Cuda helped reverse the field on multiple occasions, which included a punt of 77 yards in a 30-24 victory over No. 8 Colorado Mesa. Cuda finished averaging 45.8 yards per punt on six attempts.
The win moved the Pack football team to 4-0 in conference play and up to No. 14 in NFCA Polls.
The Pack cross country team next competes at the RMAC Championship Oct. 21 at Chadron, Neb. The ThunderWolves football team remain at home this week and welcome Adams State at 6 p.m. for homecoming at DeRose ThunderBowl.
