PUEBLO, Colo. (September 27, 2017) - Colorado State University-Pueblo's Danelle Dondelinger (Sr., Louisville, Colo.) and Connor Marth (Sr., Tulsa, Okla.) have been named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Mobile Record Shredders.
Dondelinger scored her first goal of the season and tacked on an assist in the Pack's 8-0 win Sunday over Black Hills State.
The assist came early in the second period when she served in a corner kick that was headed in for the score.
She added insult to injury in the 63rd minute scoring the sixth goal of the game for the Pack.
Dondelinger led the Pack in holding the Yellow Jackets to one shot in the game.
With the win CSU-Pueblo improves to 3-0 in RMAC play and 4-3 overall.
On the men's side, Marth was instrumental in leading the ThunderWolves to their first win of the year Sunday versus Regis. He assisted on the first and third goals of the Pack's 3-2 win over the Rangers.
Marth's first dime came in the waning seconds of the first period with the Pack driving the ball up the field and he dished a pass ahead allowing his teammate to toe in the ball and even the score with 13 seconds left in the half.
His second assist in the 71st minute was off his corner attempt proved the game winner as the ThunderWolves held off the Regis attack.
Both teams have one home game left Friday to finish their homestand. The women take on Colorado Christian at 4:30 p.m. and the men's team facing UCCS at 7 p.m. both at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium and will feature Youth Night at the pitch.
The women's team will open a six game road trip Sunday at Colorado Mines, while the men head out for a two game road swing first at Adams State.
